Welcome to La Flechita Roja, a cozy taco haven nestled right in the heart of Zihuatanejo! Located at Av Jose Maria Morelos Y Pavon 56, this restaurant is not just a place to eat; it's a culinary experience that captures the vibrant essence of Mexican street food.

Step inside and you’ll immediately be enveloped by the tantalizing aromas of authentic Mexican cuisine. The atmosphere brims with local charm, often bustling with residents enjoying their meals. The decor maintains a simple yet warm aesthetic, making it a perfect spot to unwind while savoring some of the best tacos in the region.

As for the fare, La Flechita Roja specializes in a limited selection of mouthwatering tacos that will leave you wanting more. Highlights from their menu include the revered tacos al pastor and barbacoa tacos, each prepared with a careful attention to traditional cooking methods. Picture tender, flavorful meat drizzled with fresh salsa, topped with crisp onions and cilantro, all wrapped in soft, warm corn tortillas. It’s a slice of heaven with every bite!

Customers rave about their experiences here, with comments reflecting the authentic taste and the welcoming vibe. Victoria Field praises the staff’s patience, especially with those navigating a language barrier, indicating the friendly service that complements the delicious food. Connor claims that the tacos al pastor rival those enjoyed in Mexico City, a testament to the quality cuisine. Darren Magel highlights the restaurant’s focused menu: “They don’t try to do it all, but what they do have is very good and extremely inexpensive,” emphasizing La Flechita Roja’s commitment to excellence without excess.

And it’s true—while the menu may be limited, it’s exactly that simplicity that speaks volumes. Miles Finlay captures the spirit of the place perfectly, describing it as the original taqueria in Zihuatanejo, where small-town charm meets tantalizing food, creating an experience that’s hard to replicate. Picture yourself indulging in a plate of 3 barbacoa and 3 al pastor tacos, washing it all down with a refreshing bottle of Squirt, while surrounded by the sounds of laughter and friendly banter.

Though some reviews mention the lack of tables and fans, it’s a small price to pay for the chance to feast on such authentic flavors. Jeremy Ball notes the fantastic low prices, reinforcing the fact that dining here is a delightful and affordable treat that captures the true spirit of local Mexican cuisine.

So, if you find yourself in Zihuatanejo and are yearning for tacos that exemplify the heart of Mexican cooking, La Flechita Roja is an absolute must-visit. Embrace the flavors, soak in the local atmosphere, and enjoy every delightful bite!

Very limited menu, which I like! They don't try to do it all, but what they do have is very good and also extremely inexpensive. Great people and food. If you are craving some authentic Mexican tacos its well worth a visit.

This is the original taqueria in Zihuatanejo and whilst it has been renovated it still has that small town charm, full of locals, full of sounds and aromas, and with a stripped-down menu that has worked well for them. I had the classic 3 barbacoa and 3 al pastor tacos with a bottle of Squirt to wash it all down! As good as you’ll ever get!

The tacos are amazing, the price is very cheap, it's unfortunate that they don't have tables and fans.

Best Al Pastor tacos I’ve ever had. I highly recommend you stop by and have a seat with the amazing team here. They are wonderful, polite and friendly. I would recommend lunch or dinner here.

24 hour taco place. The tacos are simple and very good. The place is nothing special looking. Who cares about that. Cheap, quick, available, delicious tacos at all hours. However, you have to yell at them to order. No one ever smiles and the worst part is trying to PAY when you finish. It's impossible to know who takes the money. It changes every time I go. Hold your money in the air and scream I want to pay! No one responds. No one cares. I speak Spanis. That doesn't matter. For such a busy place they have the same flaw as so many establishments in the Mexican food industry, complete disorganization. It's a fiasco 9 times out of 10. Wrong orders, service with a frown, dirty counters, and impossible to pay. Will I go back? Two or three times per week. It's open all night and it's tasty. That's it.
